Description

This one started out as a practice, because I've been really dissatisfied with how I draw faces lately. So this time I decided to use some reference - myself, in the mirror. I can assure you that this lady here and I share nothing in common, except for red hair/green eyes combo :p

This is the very first portrait I have ever painted (I usually hate doing portraits, but this one was so fun!) and I'm still experimenting with 'no lineart' kind of style. Also, I used Elite jdillon's painting method here.

Many thanks goes to  vinegar who helped me a LOT with this one. You rock <33

Some very good colors and lighting. The nose could use a little more definition/clarity and ear a bit less in my opinion. You have very pretty eyes.

Beautiful. Lovely style and beautifu colors. I only wish the dress had a lighter color.

Really pretty colors! I especially love the flowers. :)
Her left (our right) cheek seems to be a little too wide, though. Her eye curves inward as it should, but her cheekbone seems to be set too far out away from it. That could be what you intended, though, so just ignore me if it is. ^__^

Thanks for the lovely comments, everyone! I worked on it a bit more, I really hope it looks better now. I linked the old version so you still can see it.

@Redredwine
Thank you :] You're right, I fixed the nose and ears. It's funny, I repainted the nose several times, but worked on ears for just a few last minutes, when I realised I haven't touched them at all. Whoops.

@Saimain
Thanks! And you're right. I fixed her cheek a bit, I hope it's better now. <3

Thanks, people!

Your comments about colour mean SO MUCH to me, because I'm very afraid of colours.. I know it's crazy, but it's true. I'm working on getting over it, though. :] *hugs everyone*

A beautiful portrait, especially the colors. The blue flowers against the red hair, gorgeous. Well done!

Her nose! Just a deep thin shadow under it can save it. Here - I've allowed myself a little overpaint - I just took the lips to the right place and added a little shadow. Maybe the shadow from the nose on the face is needed too - but you check it by yourself.
